چکیده

The Liar’s dice is a dice game where deception and the ability to detect the opponents’ deception play a crucial role. We analyze this game from different perspectives. First, two-player endgames are analyzed and optimal strategies are calculated. Second, using simulation methods, we examine heuristic playing strategies based on their success against each other. In the simulations, we consider mixed strategies that depend on parameters, populate a parameter space with strategies and perform evolutionary simulation on the strategy population.

MATHEMATICAL MODELLING FOR DICE FINDER GAME PROBLEM

Play is often episodic and mission-centric, with a series of challenges culminating in a final puzzle or enemy that must be overcome. Multiple missions played with the same characters may be related to each other in a plot arc of escalating challenges. The exact tone, structure, pace and end (if any) vary from game to game depending on the needs and preferences of the players, as in [9]. "THE C...

Endgame Solving in Large Imperfect-Information Games

The leading approach for computing strong game-theoretic strategies in large imperfect-information games is to first solve an abstracted version of the game offline, then perform a table lookup during game play. We consider a modification to this approach where we solve the portion of the game that we have actually reached in real time to a greater degree of accuracy than in the initial computa...

On the Logic of Lying

We model lying as a communicative act changing the beliefs of the agents in a multi-agent system. With Augustine, we see lying as an utterance believed to be false by the speaker and uttered with the intent to deceive the addressee. The deceit is successful if the lie is believed after the utterance by the addressee. This is our perspective. Also, as common in dynamic epistemic logics, we model...

Plays, Values, Analysis and The Complexity of Chinese Chess

Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) and Backgammon evolved from an ancient Chinese game called Liubo that was invented some 3,500 years ago [10, pp. 3–11]. Like Liubo, Xiangqi consists of one king, five pawns, and several higher order pieces, and the game is decided by capturing the opponent’s king. Unlike in Liubo, the moves of Xiangqi are not determined by the roll of dice. The dice part of the game even...
